The first time I was in Sweden , one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their car to work). The first day, I didn't say anything,either the second or third. One morning I asked, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, and whoever gets in late will be late and need a
place closer to the door. Don't you think?

When you lack conviction, it shows

At major turning points in life, destiny calls upon you to take decisive action. There's no light in the tunnel; just a glimmer of hope, and the future is uncertain. What matters is whether you have the power of conviction , steely determination and the will to proceed, for better or worse. When an individual feels intensely throttled in an organization,it is better to plan and leave quietly -- not issue threats , not imagine that you are indispensable and not make a nuisance of yourself, The future may be tough in the new environment, but if you have the power of conviction , it is unlikely to be stiffing. When you lack the power of conviction, it shows.

Jealousy

Whether warranted or unwarranted, jealousy does not make the person bad or good. It simply indicates a lack of security , either in yourself or your relationship and preys on proving that others will be chosen or preferred over you. It is nothing more than the fear that you have "less" value. Clearly it's a sign that some thing that needs fixing, so hiding it or ignoring it will only make things worse. It is a negative , angry , destructive emotion and your relationship will suffer for it, as it often translates into an excuse for inappropriate , unacceptable, unethical and even violent behavior. Analyze the seeds of your jealousy and insecurity. For e.g. what do you feel insecure about? Do you doubt your partners' attraction or love for you ? But didn't your partner choose you over all others ? Therefore, how do you believe you are unattractive , unappealing or uninteresting ? In fact, jealousy itself is unattractive, wearisome and a relationship breaker ! Do yourself and your relationship a favor by reminding yourself of all your plus points , reveling in being you and and creating a positive environment for your relationship to bloom in .

How does it feel on your birthday ? Especially when you have " passed " so many summers ?? It is best to celebrate birthday amongst your friends and who can be your best friends other than the students, with whom you spend quality time and who always inspire you to do something better in life ? I happened to be in SIMS CAMPUS today, in connection with some correction of papers for Insurance Management ( a subject I taught there in this semester ) and guess what ? Some of my friends ( students ) wished me Happy Birthday . I was surprised , and when I asked " How do you know ? ", they told me" Sir, you can not hide your birthday. We are your face book friends. !!! " I was invited in the class , but could not make it as I was busy and Guess what ? To my surprise, one of the students Venkatesh called me up on my mobile and said " Sir, I have a surprise for you. " I said " What surprise ? " And to my astonishment and real surprise, the whole class sang aloud " HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU RAVI SIR" I was really touched by this gesture of the students ( my friends ) which I found to be very innovative. Since I could not make it to the class, my friends made my day by singing aloud and wishing me. What better way to celebrate birthday ? To a teacher or a faculty , the best respect that can be given is when students acknowledge their contribution and express their happiness, without any expectation what so ever. From my side, I wished them all the very best in life, and it would be my honor, if and when I hear news from them that they have reached their pinnacle of success in life. MAY GOD BLESS THEM ALL
